The decision to offer an e-book via CopeCart offers numerous advantages. Through permanent availability, you create reliability for your customers. At the same time, the unlimited accessibility of the e-book allows you to increase your sales.

In this help article you will learn how to upload your e-book files.

Upload e-book file

When you create an e-book product, you can add the files directly at your product editing page.

  • To add a file to your e-book product in CopeCart, create a new e-book product or open the edit mode in your existing product and proceed to the 'Download Product' section.

  • Activate the "Upload product" slider to enable the upload. Now select the file that will be unlocked for your customers to download after purchasing an e-book and set the restrictions for the download.

  • Buyers receive an email with a download link for the e-book immediately after purchase. This link remains active for the number of days and downloads you specified when you uploaded your file.

To notice

  • You can upload one file per product.

If you want to upload multiple files, compress them into a ZIP file and upload them.

  • The maximum file size is 10 GB.

  • Access on order: Customers receive the download link by e-mail and direct access to the file as soon as the payment status is “paid” or “trial period”.

If the payment status is “pending” or “failed”, no access is granted and no e-mail with the download link is sent.

Note: If payment is pending, the download link will be sent automatically as soon as the payment has been successfully completed.

  • You can upload an e-book file in one of the following formats: .azw3, .epub, .fb2, .djvu, .iba, .lit, .lrf, .mobi, .opf, .pdb, .pdf, .prc, .rft, .tcr, .zip.

  • If the number of downloads exceeds the specified maximum number, access to the file is no longer possible.
