ActiveCampaign is a marketing automation platform that helps businesses improve their customer relationships and make their marketing more effective. It offers features such as email marketing, CRM, marketing campaign automation, and analytics in one integrated platform. With ActiveCampaign, businesses can send personalized and targeted messages to their customers, automate interactions, and track the success of their marketing efforts. It's a powerful solution to build customer loyalty and increase sales.
You can find more information about ActiveCampaign here.
First, go to your ActiveCampaign account and configure an action to be performed when a customer purchases a product from CopeCart. In this example, we want ActiveCampaign to create a new record for each buyer in an appropriate list. To do this, we create a new contact list and name it “Customers”. Standard fields are used here, but you can of course customize the list parameters.
Next, switch to Zapier to configure it.
To inform Zapier to monitor your product sales process, you need to set up a webhook. In other words, you have to establish a mechanism to notify the system when certain events occur.
For now, to create the connection to Zapier, follow this link.
Next, you should configure the interface between Zapier and ActiveCampaign:
Select the ActiveCampaign app.
Select an action event from a drop-down list and click Continue.
In this example, the New or Updated Contacts Event option is used. This means that every time the product is purchased, a new contact with appropriate parameters will be created in an ActiveCampaign contact list.
Select an ActiveCampaign account (your personal or business account) and click Continue.
If you are not logged into your ActiveCampaign account, perform this procedure:
Log in to your account and copy the API URL and API key.
Next, paste them into your nine zap. Your data will be applied and we can continue.
Leave blank if you want this trigger to fire on all added or updated contacts.
Select True to prevent unsubscribe events from triggering the ZAP.
Perform a test.
Go to your ActiveCampaign account to check the result.
If the configurations are correct, click “Continue” and the Zap is set up.
After you activate the Zap, every time the product is purchased, a corresponding record appears in your ActiveCampaign account.
You can integrate CopeCart with ActiveCampaign for other actions in almost the same way. For example, when a customer buys a product from CopeCart, Zapier will trigger the creation of a new deal on ActiveCampaign, update an existing deal, or run an email marketing campaign, etc.
