At CopeCart, we want to make sure that you and your customers can understand the returns policy clearly and comprehensibly.

Transparent regulations help to strengthen the trust of your customers and ensure smooth transactions.

Below you will find the detailed returns policy for each product category.

Digital product

A withdrawal waiver applies to digital products. A withdrawal is therefore excluded. Your customers must confirm the following checkbox before purchase:

*I hereby consent to CopeCart commencing performance of the contract prior to the expiry of the withdrawal period. I have taken note that with this consent I lose my right of withdrawal at the beginning of the execution of the contract.*

In addition, you can offer options for a return period of 14, 30 or 60 days.

Services with digital content

There is a 0-day right of return for services with digital content. Here too, your customers must confirm the corresponding checkbox before purchasing:

*I hereby consent to CopeCart commencing performance of the contract before the end of the withdrawal period. I understand that I will lose my right of withdrawal upon complete fulfillment of the contract by you.*

In addition, you can offer options for a return period of 14, 30 or 60 days.

What exactly does this mean?

The "No right of return" option allows you as a vendor to set a return period of zero days.

The fulfillment of the contract includes:

  • For digital products: The buyer receives immediate access to the digital content after purchase.

  • For services: The services have been provided entirely by you as the vendor.

If these contractual obligations are not fulfilled, the customer retains their right of withdrawal and the checkbox does not apply.

Other services

The regulation for other services is identical to that for services with digital content; there is a 0-day right of return. Your customers must confirm the checkbox before purchasing:

*I hereby consent to CopeCart commencing performance of the contract before the end of the withdrawal period. I understand that I will lose my right of withdrawal upon complete fulfillment of the contract by you.*

Here too, you have the option of offering a return period of 14, 30 or 60 days.

Seminars/events

There is no right of withdrawal for seminars and events. Your customers must confirm this with the following checkbox before purchasing:

*I acknowledge that there is no right of withdrawal for this event.*

Here too, you have the option of offering a return period of 14, 30 or 60 days.

eBooks

There is no right of withdrawal for eBooks. The same rules apply here as for digital products. Your customers must confirm the following checkbox before purchasing:

*I hereby consent to CopeCart commencing performance of the contract before expiry of the withdrawal period. I have taken note that with this consent I lose my right of withdrawal at the beginning of the execution of the contract.*

Here too, you have the option of offering a return period of 14, 30 or 60 days.

Printed books

For printed books, you can specify a return period of 14, 30 or 60 days.

Physical products

Just as with printed books, you can offer return periods of 14, 30 or 60 days for physical products.

Distance learning

The regulation for distance learning has not yet been defined and will be communicated at a later date.

Note: B2C vs. B2B

All withdrawal and return regulations only apply to B2C (business-to-consumer) transactions. For B2B (business-to-business) transactions, a right of withdrawal is generally not provided for and excluded.
