Lifting the SEPA limit - Important information for vendors
Lifting the SEPA limit - Important information for vendors
Updated over 4 months ago

SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) payments offer a convenient way of transferring money within Europe. However, there are also some risks associated with it. In this article, you will find out why there is a SEPA limit and how you can increase this limit.

Why is there a SEPA limit?

SEPA allows customers to make payments quickly and easily. However, there is a risk that a customer will have their SEPA payment debited twice - once directly to us and once to their bank. This can happen both intentionally and accidentally and results in the customer receiving a double refund.

To minimize this risk, we have introduced a SEPA limit of 500 euros. This serves to protect all parties involved and ensures that chargebacks remain manageable.

How you can increase your SEPA limit

If you are classified as trustworthy and would like to process larger amounts via SEPA, you can increase your SEPA limit. Many of our vendors already use this option to enable larger transactions.

Steps to increase the SEPA limit

  1. Fill in the additional agreement: To increase your SEPA limit, you need to complete a supplementary agreement.

  2. Checking the application: Once you have completed and submitted the form, your application will be reviewed by our team.

  3. Confirmation: Within 1-2 working days you will receive a written confirmation by e-mail about the increase of your SEPA limit.

Important note

Please note that the increase of the SEPA limit is only possible for trusted vendors. We reserve the right to check the applications carefully and request further information if necessary.
