Prerequisites
Vendor Status: You need to be registered as a vendor in your CopeCart account.
Support Activation: The ability to set up your own shop domain will be activated only after a support unlock. Please contact our support for this.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Navigate to Shop Editing
Path: Go to your dashboard: Products → My Shops → Edit
2. Enable Custom Shop Domain
Toggle activation: Scroll to the section "Use Custom Shop Domain" in the editing menu. The toggle is disabled by default.
Important: You can only enable this toggle after activation by our support. If you don’t see this option, please contact us via support.
Note: Directly above the toggle, you'll see the section "Use Custom Shop Subdomain," which remains unchanged during this process.
3. Enter your Domain
Visible Field: Once you activate the toggle, an input field with a "Add Domain" button will appear.
Enter Domain: Type your desired domain into the field.
Click Button: Click "Add Domain" to start the setup process.
4. Automatic Validation and Status Display
Initialization Phase: After submission, your domain will initially show as "Initializing." During this phase, no verification instructions will be shown.
The system will automatically begin recurring checks (every 5-10 seconds) to update the status.
5. Verification Process
Status Changes to "Pending": Once Cloudflare completes SSL validation, the status will change to "Pending."
Display of Instructions: When the status changes to "Pending," detailed instructions to verify your domain will appear:
Log in to your domain registrar or DNS provider.
Open DNS Management: Navigate to the section where you can manage DNS settings (e.g., "DNS Settings" or "DNS Management").
Add TXT Record:
Record Type: TXT
Name: [Provided by CopeCart]
Value: [Provided by CopeCart]
Wait for Propagation: Wait at least 1 hour for changes to take effect.
Automated Check: Our system checks the status of your domain every hour until it reaches "Verified."
Important: If your domain is not verified within 14 days, it will be automatically deleted.

6. After Successful Verification
Display: Once verified, your domain will show as "Verified."
Shop URLs: The shop checkout URL and product checkout URL will be switched to your custom domain.
If you’ve set up both a custom domain and a subdomain, the custom domain will be used by default when copying or previewing the shop URL.
HTTPS: All connections will automatically be redirected through the secure HTTPS protocol.
Delete Domain
Delete Button: A "Delete" button will appear next to your domain.
Additional Notes and System Checks
Regular Checks: The system checks your domain status three times per month (on the 1st, 10th, and 20th of the month). If your domain is no longer active (e.g., expired or transferred), the status will revert to "Pending" and the verification instructions will reappear.
Fallback in Case of Issues: If a verification issue occurs, your shop URL will temporarily revert to the CopeCart default URL, and you will receive an email notification with the subject "Custom Shop Domain Verification Error," containing guidance on how to resolve the issue.
