Create/edit store, make settings

By creating your own shop at CopeCart you get the opportunity to create customized offers, attractive discounts and appealing package deals for your customers. This will allow you to implement your marketing strategies in an even more effective way and serve your customer base in the best possible way.

Create your shop on CopeCart

1. Log in to your CopeCart account and go to the 'Products' section.

2. Please select the tab 'My Shops' and click on the button "New Shop".

3. Enter a name for your shop and then click the "Create Shop" button.

This is followed by the editing page for your store.

The editing page is divided into four sections:

  • Shop

  • Products

  • Payment & Checkout

  • Additional


Shop

  • If you want, you can edit the already selected shop name again in this step. You also have the option to set an internal store name here. Please note that the internal name is only visible to you and serves to distinguish or identify your store from others.

  • Insert your shop logo. It should be in JPG or PNG format and have a file size of less than 2 MB. The recommended image size is 740 × 500 pixels.


  • Activate your shop image to make your store more attractive. This image will be displayed as a banner on your store website. Please use a JPG or PNG format that is smaller than 2 MB and has a recommended size of 740 × 500 pixels. Make sure that the image does not contain illegal or offensive content.


  • Enable your shop description. Make sure it's detailed to attract buyers' attention. Make sure customers understand what your store is about, what benefits it offers, and what products you offer.


  • To create your own subdomain, follow these steps:

  1. Enter a subdomain name that matches the following parameters:

    Type: name (e.g. myshop). Example: myshop.store.copecart.com

  2. Save the changes to continue.

Please note: If you don't save the changes, your store URL will be displayed as copecart.com/shops/12345678 by default.


  • If you have already created an upsell product, you can now add it to your shop. Please note that the shop itself cannot be created as an upsell product. It is important to know that the upsell product is different from the original product and therefore may require additional contract information from the customer.


  • Unlocking the thank you page: This page informs users that their action has been successfully completed.


  • Activate discount: You have the choice to set a discount for your products (in the form of a percentage or a fixed amount) or activate promo codes in your store. The discount given applies to all products in the store and does not affect the shipping price. Promo codes can be applied either to the entire order or to selected products.

    For products with net prices, the discount and promo codes are calculated before VAT is deducted. For products with gross prices, the discount and promo codes will be deducted from the total amount. Learn more about promo codes at CopeCart here.


Products

  • Activate your product categories. In this section you can create, modify or remove category labels that will be displayed below the product description in your store. You decide how the categories are named and which product is assigned to which category. You are free to assign a product to different categories to make the product search more user-friendly and efficient.

  • You must have created at least two items to be able to add items to the store.


  • Add your products and bundles to your store.

Important: If you make changes to your products, it is recommended that you first remove the product from the store and then add it again with the saved adjustments. Direct changes to the product in the store could not be implemented at this time.


Payment & Checkout

  • In your overview of all transactions, you can filter those that were made via your store:

  • Activate your support settings. Your customers will have access to the contact details and can contact you if they have any questions. If you have several stores, you can enter different e-mail addresses.


  • Activate your newsletter settings.


If you have entered all data successfully, click on the green box in the upper right corner to save.
