Connection to Zapier

Integration Zapier

Updated over 7 months ago

Zapier is a web-based automation platform that allows users to connect different online applications and automate workflows.

Zapier allows users to create so-called “Zaps” that trigger specific actions in one app and automatically execute actions in another app.

By integrating with more than 3,000 supported apps, Zapier enables users to transfer data between applications, automate tasks and save time on repetitive tasks.

Zapier provides a user-friendly interface that allows non-programmers to set up integrations and automations without requiring extensive coding skills.

Integrate Zapier

Log in to your Zapier account and click on “Create Zap”.

Search for “Webhooks by Zapier” in the apps and select this option.

In the next step, select the “Catch Hook” option under “*Event”.

You have now reached the step “Test this step”. Now copy the displayed webhook URL that you will need for the next step.

Open a new browser window, log in to your CopeCart account, and create a generic IPN connection: - Enter the name e.g., “Zapier Interface”—Use the URL copied in step 4 as notification URL—Enter any password (e.g. 1234), this is no longer required—Select “Integration for contract fulfillment”—Activate and save the IPN connection.

Now activate this IPN connection for any product and perform a test order. This is mandatory to continue.

Switch back to Zapier, you should still be where you left off in point 4, at “Test this step”. Now click on “Ok, I did this” to start the test.

You will now see sample data that Zapier received from CopeCart through the IPN interface, and you can check it. If everything worked as desired, click “Continue”.

You have successfully linked CopeCart as a trigger in Zapier.

Next, you can add any apps and actions in those apps as “Actions” in Zapier. The possibilities are endless, and your imagination is the limit!
