Slack is a communication platform that allows teams to communicate and share information in real time via text messages, voice calls, and video chats.

With the sample configuration below, you can use Zapier to make Slack send a message to every user who buys a product from CopeCart in a selected channel. Of course, you can also set Slack to respond in any other way supported by Zapier.

You can find more information about Slack here.

  1. First, let's create a new channel in Slack, so we can send messages in it.

  2. Next, switch to Zapier to configure it.

In order for Zapier to know that it should “listen” to your product sales process, you need to create a webhook. In other words, you need to set up a mechanism to tell the system that something has happened.

For now, to create the connection to Zapier, follow this link.

  3. Next, you should configure the interface between Zapier and Slack:

  4. Select the Slack app and set the Send Channel Message option.

  5. Select a Slack account.

  6. Select a channel (the newly created one).

  7. Configure a message to send to each new buyer and click Continue.

  8. Test the connection between Zapier and Slack and activate your Zap.

  9. The preconfigured message appears in the Slack channel created at the very beginning:
